Drop shipping has risen in popularity over the last few years. I assume with the increasing amount of regular guys with a small budget, drop shipping started to become the trend.

Drop shipping is when a reseller establishes an account with a company and sells their products without having to pay in advance, store, or ship their products.

I have had a lot of experience with drop shipping for many companies. I am going to give you a pros/cons review on this subject.

Pros:

1. You don't have to risk your money to pay for a product and end up not selling it.

2. You never have to find a place to store products.

3. You don't have to deal with the hassles of packaging and shipping items to your customers.

Cons:

1. Chances are you will not have a large profit margin to deal with. The small profit you do make will be eaten up with advertisement, merchant fees, and/or ebay fees.

2. Many people are selling the same products because it is so easy to get an account. So your competition is pretty brutal.

3. You will not get the same discount as you would with buying products direct wholesale. I don't care what people tell you.

4. Because so many people are selling the same item, your item can go on back order really quick and it will leave you in a bind dealing with customers. Try explaining that their product won't come in for another two weeks. Its not fun.

Overall I really can't recommend drop shipping unless you happen to find a really good company with little competition to deal with. That is not that easy either.
