Multi-level Marketing

Multi-level marketing was the biggest growth industry in the 1980's. It is the industry that has made corporate giants of Amway, Shaklee, Mary Kay and Herbalife. It has been termed as

the last true rags-to-riches opportunity left in North America, and its ability to bring enormous incomes to almost anyone is legend. In fact, it is expected to make more new millionaires by 1990 than any other industry, and soon after will be the single most popular method of bringing new products to the consumer.

The first multi-level companies sprung up in the 1930's, but they were dinosaurs compared to modern marketing strategies. It wasn't until the mid 60's that MLM gained international

prominence. In 1985, it is estimated that $5 billion worth of new products will be sold by this method.

Most of the money making opportunities on the Internet and in magazines are network marketing known as multi-level marketing ( MLM ).

You can start a network marketing business with a very small investment and have the potential of making decent money by becoming distributors for a company that makes products that they really like

It's also a great way for the marketing company to get their products out into the market place. The company doesn't have to spend big bucks on advertising, and recruits a network of paid distributors to do their marketing for them. Pretty neat idea for the company.

What happens is that the distributor works many hours to bring in dozens of other 'distributors' since he gets paid more for that than just selling products.

But what happens most of the time reality sets in. After spending $300 to get signed up, you start bugging your friends about joining your new business opportunity. Most of your friends have been approached before my others in the past so that now they are sick of network marketing. So you get discourage and quick.

Because Network marketing is not easy, if you don't know what you are doing make sure you have a product that is life changing, and where the people above you are real leaders concerned with more than just getting you in as another body. If you have life changing products you have a better chance of being successful.

Make sure the company has been in business for at least one year, preferably three to five years. You also want to make sure there is great leadership at the top with people whom have a good track record and the company has great financial's.
