Free classifieds sites are all over internet. What are they, how do they work and are they a place that you should advertise in?

A free classifieds area is just what it sounds like. A place where people can advertise for free, and other people can see the ads. That sounds like a great idea and it is.

The people that want to advertise don't have to pay anything and the people who run the sites get tons of visitors that they never would have gotten before. The way they work is simple. People come to the site either looking to buy something or looking to advertise (most likely looking to advertise). People who want to take out ads are either allowed to do so directly or are required to log into some sort of password system that gives you a free membership.

After you have the membership, you can take out the ads. The people who run the sites really have the best deal. They can sell banners space in the site or collect e-mail addresses from the people who want to advertise and sell them something else.

People who want free ads on your site are probably going to be looking to buy things because they can't afford real ads. Doesn't that make sense? That is why some people either run free classified sites or FFA pages and do quite well.

Should you take out free ads? If you are broke and have no other way to advertise then they are fine but don't get your hopes up about the results. People that go to free classified areas are usually trying to advertise something themselves because they are broke.
