Gary Halbert was and still is one of the best copywriters in the world. He has made a lot of money in Direct Marketing giving seminars and selling products. He published a book once called "The World Of Your Name. In other words for $30.00 you would get a 60 page book about where your last name came from. I bought one of his books. I have an unusual name. Jan Gaudina. Do you know that I am probably the only Jan Gaudina in the world? In fact there are only about 107 people in the world with the last name of Gaudina, and about 82 of them are from Italy.

Gary sold thousands of those books I've been told. So many, I heard that he had a partner in that business that didn't keep very good records, and a lot of people didn't get what they paid for. Customers had paid mostly by money orders and checks so they couldn't exactly charge it back to their credit card. As a result Gary got into a lot of trouble. Gary claimed that some of the orders were stolen and he had no way of giving out refunds. I personally think Gary took the fall for his partner.

Gary has also put on seminars for his friend Jay Abraham. For Jay having Gary by his side added a lot of credibility to the events that Jay was already putting on.

I believe one of the things Gary is now involved in is a stock picking program. A few years ago he sold a seminar on this stock picking program for about $3,970. He has licensed out this program to J & R Research which is owned by Dr. Jerald McCarthy, (See page on McCarthy). J & R Research sells the program in a boxed course for about $3,500.

Recently I receive a Direct Mail letter from Gary Halbert wanting to sell me this stock picking program. On the letter was a crisp $1.00 bill attached to it, one of Gary's trade marks. The report that came with the letter is titled "How To Make Up To 17 Profitable Trades Every Single Day The Market Is Open." If you read this report you will see Gary Halbert at his best, still the best copy writer around.

He is selling what he calls his business in a box version of the stock picking program for $1,985.00. Is it worth that much? I guess it would be if you can make up to 17 profitable trade every single day the market is open. what is interesting however is it seems to be the same information that J & R Research sells for $3,495.00.

From what I can gather the program seems to have a lot of merit. I would like feedback from some of his subscribers so I could list their successes or failures on this web page.
