John Cash Locke is a private real estate investor specializing in “subject to” investing. His background ranges from co-ownership of radio and television stations, advertising, casino operations, and marketing and sales in different industries.

His best-known products as a real estate guru are probably his training manual, “Subject To, That's What I Do” (7 CDs for $689.00), and his e-book, “Big Bucks Bird Dogging” ($48). John Cash Locke also runs investment seminars, and has used the materials from these to produce a Sub To Training Course.

John Cash Locke’s trademark phrase is “Invest the Cash Now Way”. He invites you to become a member of the “Cash Now family”, and he puts dollar signs around his adopted middle name, so that it’s written out as “$Cash$”. These are the kind of things that make me suspicious about a person who’s supposedly selling a serious concept - how and when to risk your money (and/or credit rating) on buying real estate.

John Cash Locke also runs down investment gurus. He says: “the real estate investing business has turned into an information-selling mill. It seems every other week, somebody has “discovered” a “new and better way” to buy houses. It’s a game. It’s a racket”. Those are his words. These are mine: John Cash Locke doesn’t suggest a single reason why he’s not part of the racket, and I can’t see any reason either.
