John Stefanchik is an infomercial star and the author of "The Stefanchik Method: Earn $10,000 a Month for The Rest of Your Life-In Your Spare Time". He also wrote a book about investing in paper called “Wealth Without Boundaries”. The book costs around $25 and is OK.

However, John Stefanchik’s other ventures are not OK. These include a company called the Stefanchik Organization, which he launched to push his high-priced seminars. The Better Business Bureau in Salt Lake City gave the Stefanchik Organization an “unsatisfactory” rating because of an unresolved complaint.

More recently, John Stefanchik began selling real estate courses through the Beringer Corporation, based in Seattle, with the help of Atlas Marketing, Inc., of Salt Lake City. In early 2005, the Federal Trade Commission obtained an injunction against John Stefanchik and the above-named companies for deceptively marketing and selling a program that claimed to teach consumers how to make large amounts of money quickly by buying and selling mortgage paper. The program cost around $5,000 to over $8,000.

The FTC injunction prevents John Stefanchik and his partners from making false earnings claims about their program and from making false claims that their program coaches have substantial experience in the paper business and are readily available to assist consumers.
